Out and about in Blackpool
Despite the plush surroundings, tonight's meal was distinctly student union standard. Students in wheelchairs have been complaining that the dining room is too cramped. The hotel's corridors and doorways also seem narrow. Excellent choice of venue for an SWD conference.
Tonight is the hustings in preparation for tomorrow's election of the NUS SWD officer. Unfortunately there is only one candidate – the incumbent, Sian Davies – so most delegates decided not to bother with it and went out to relax instead.
