Lecturers balloted on strike action
Members of the university and colleges lecturers union, NATFHE are to be balloted on possible strike action over plans by the government, the union suggest, will significantly worsen the pensions of many of its members.
In the event of NATFHE supporting strike action, it looks likely that they will walk on the 14th April, possibly in conjunction with other education unions, such as the NUT and UNISON, less than a month before a likely May 5th general election.
Action over pensions is also possible by Civil Servants and workers in the NHS.
