NUS launches annual student media awards
The NUS has launched its annual student media awards.

The awards, held in association with the Daily Mirror, are now in their 58th year and will see applications from students across the UK in categories ranging from the hotly contested best student newspaper award to individual awards for the best reporters, critics and sports writers.
This year also sees the launch of the Butlins Student Travel Challenge, which offers awards for journalism about holidays in the UK.
Cash prizes of £500 and work experience at the Daily Mirror and other publications are on offer, with £250 for runners-up. A glittering awards ceremony is promised for November.
Judges include the editors of the Mirror, Closer, and Attitude magazines, along with an assortment of NUS officers, journalists, columnists and television presenters.
More details can be found here. The closing date for entries is Friday 15th July.
