The British Organisation of Sikh Students (or BOSS as it is more commonly known) is an organisation designed to support and assist the administration of university- and college-based Sikh Societies and country wide Gurudwaras. On its website, the organisation states in its mission statement:

"The British Organisation of Sikh Students is a non-political, non-profit making, independent body which acts as an umbrella organisation helping to develop, assist and support Sikh youth groups. In particular those aged 18-30, of whom a significant proportion are at institutions of further and higher education; this in no way excludes those under or over that age."

Coupled with their support and backing of Sikh Organisations across the UK's further and higher education sectors, is the work undertaken by BOSS in co-ordinating a number of annual events, such as:

  • Sikh Weeks, providing the opportunity for inter-university socials, discussions and debate.

  • Kirtan Darbars in numerous universities and colleges.

  • National Sikh camps designed for those aged 16 and older.
